First Look: Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

January 7, 2012 at 7:08 pm UTC

From my new setting of Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night, a few measures of the choral score with (very) rough orchestral reduction. (Ultimately it will be performed with string orchestra, percussion, harp and celesta).

Do Not Go Gentle vocal score pgs. 1-3

And here is a terrible, terrible Finale realization. All parts played with the piano sound:

  • linda hurst

may i put it into note worthy?

  • Holt McCarley

It looks much “newer” than most of your other stuff. Very crunchy and intense!

  • Carrie Jendza

Wow, that looks insanely difficult! Can’t wait to see/hear the final product as you intend it to be heard :)

P.S. I have several of my voice students practicing Water Night for VC3!!! The youngest is 13 ;)

  • Carrie Jendza

    My mistake, she’s 14 :)

  • Miggy Torres

    You should’ve used Sibelius. ;-D

  • heera rathod

the stuff provided by you is much newer when compared to other stuff..

  • Daniel Bayot

YESSS. I’ve been waiting for a piece like this from you!

  • Leanne Veitch

Now *that’s* not what I expected! Yeah, composition software versions suck, but they’re only demos.

I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the work now.

  • Aviel Mann Ballo

    Now THAT is new! Wow.

  • Jacob Frisenda

Whoa! Nice “bouncing ball” rhythms in this one!

  • Elliott

    Dubstep remix in 3…2…1…

  • Mumbai Tamil People

Its very good idea to Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night
