Save the Date: Hila Sings in Los Angeles May 22-23
Posted on May 3, 2010 at 12:28 pm
My wife Hila Plitmann will be putting on an incredible show later this month, something that she’s calling an ‘eclectic cabaret.’ She’ll sing original pieces written for her by John Corigliano, Paul Cantelon, David Del Tredici, Jason Robert Brown, and me; she’ll sing pieces that she’s written (The Reckoning, Chaos).
She’ll be singing a killer group of pop and rock songs, arranged by me, Jonathan Newman, Steven Bryant, and Sharon Farber, including “Airhead” by Thomas Dolby; “All the Love in the World” by Nine Inch Nails; and “Voices Carry” by ‘Til Tuesday.
All this with a string quartet, clarinetist, piano (Tali Tadmor, who just played Carnegie with me last week), and original film and multi-media by Omar Crook. Should be quite an evening.
May 22nd (8:00) and May 23rd (7:00). Tickets are available through the Boston Court box office. I’ll be at both performances – hope to meet you there!

What a unique mix of selections. Will it be possible to hear recordings of any of the pop and rock songs? I'm especially curious to hear the Nine Inch Nails tune and "Voices Carry".

By an insane coincidence I am in LA this week and will be mixing in Glendale on 22nd! Can I attend the show in the evening and hear my song performed by your lovely wife? TD
