The Most Adorable Thing Ever

June 4, 2013 at 3:14 pm UTC

Singer Jessi Anne Hardin’s 5 year-old daughter wanted to join the Virtual Choir. She’s not quite ready, but she is adorable beyond words. Next year she’ll be in!

What I got out of this is that THERE WILL BE ONE NEXT YEAR! (?!) YES!

Nothing like getting them early! Good for her! I was a bit older when I got the singing bug. My father was in the Royal Air Force and I attended 2 schools in Cyprus in the early 60s. When I was 10, at the first school, the music teacher had us singing Voi Che Sapete and Dove Sono by Mozart and at the next school we sang the entire Peasants’ Cantata by Bach when I was 12. I was completely hooked and have loved singing ever since! I wonder, with our National Curriculum and severe cuts in subjects such as music, sports and other so-called “fringe” subjects, how many English schools nowadays would rise to those heights. Some still provide instrumental tuition, but I think the majority would never have pupils of that age singing such advanced works.

You go, girl! Can’t wait to see you next year :-)

So cute! Hope she keeps singing!

Hope to see you next year with the rest of the Soprano 1s! Can’t wait! You have such a beautiful voice and I find it amazing that you can still match pitch, even if it takes you a little while to find the note. Keep it up!
