I guess i will wait to if you ever read this whitacre… know this much…I am only 15 I have a deep love for choral and orchestral music! I live in a town probably know one has ever heard of. I play in the honor band at my school and i play in the cities municipal band… My hope/dream is to someday have the skill that you do, Not for the fame or for the money but for the ability to touch people's emotions! I believe that music is one of gods strongest ways of connecting to us and you hit that on the head…Thank you for touching the world with your music!

I really feel in love with Mr. Whitacre's music around that age to for those same reasons. I'm 19 and haven't looked back since; I'm studying for a Bachelor's in Music Ed.

CAN'T WAIT! I love the original one! Will you be using voices with an orchestra or is it all just orchestra stuff?
Ryan on September 7, 2010 at 7:12 am
This is under Wind Symphony, so I'm thinking it will just be winds and percussion, and no strings or choir. Although, it would be nice to hear what Eric could come up with in a Band/Choir format. Or perhaps all three, like Steven Bryant's A Million Suns at Midnight???

WHOA.
I only just read that on the list and got the chills… you thinking of including "Little One" as an intro?
Looking forward to hearing the finished product!
Peace!

Just FYI that it is listed as a product on back order. Any idea when it will actually get through the pipeline and be available for purchase?
Eric on April 24, 2011 at 4:04 am
Aaron, I need to revise it, and I just haven't been able to fins space in my schedule to do so. Hoping for this fall.
Aaron Cole on April 26, 2011 at 5:15 am
Thanks for getting back so quickly. I can't wait until I can program it with my ensemble.
Andrew on December 20, 2011 at 7:36 pm
Eric, is there an anticipated date of publication? I have a perfect spot on an upcoming program for this piece.
