June 9, 2014 at 11:08 am UTC

Submissions for our first-ever Virtual Youth Choir have now closed having received an overwhelming 2292 videos from singers representing 80 countries across the globe. Over 6,500 singers aged 18 and under signed up to the project to join together and to put children first.

The film, created in association with UNICEF, will be premiered at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. More details about the launch will be released in June.

Profound thanks to everyone who took time to sign up, learn ‘What If,’ submit a video, spread the word and/or help others take part in the Virtual Youth Choir. A big thank you to the parents, siblings, teachers or friends that helped children as young as 2 record and submit to the VC.

In some cases just one person joined the choir to represent an entire country, proving that each of us can make a difference in the lives of needy children everywhere. Everyone who participated is an ambassador for the less-fortunate children of the World.
