Great concert in Hamburg last night! I conducted I Vocalisti in the European premiere of The City and the Sea, and with deep humility I must admit that we rocked it. Hard. The incredible pianist was Jacques Ammon, seen in this video playing the Kapustin ‘Burlesque’. My god could he PLAY.

Beautiful Audit Feast at Trinity College tonight with Maestro Stephen Layton. He invited me to conduct Water Night with his fantastic Chapel Choir, and we drank (quite a bit) of the ’63 port and the ’49 (!) demi sec. Indescribable evening.
