Ambassador of the Rhapsody Project
Eric has become Ambassador of the Rhapsody Project. Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity have launched its new arts-in-health project, the Rhapsody Project, drawing together visual and performing arts and creating 15 new bespoke pieces of music designed to help patients at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in their treatment and rehabilitation.
Working with physiotherapists and occupational therapists and teaming up with audio guide company Imagineear, Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity has developed an audio guide tour around the artworks in the hospital’s collection. Instead of verbal information about each artwork, the paintings, sculptures and installations are being coupled with specially-composed relaxing pieces of music.
The 15 new bespoke pieces were chosen from over 250 applications, the 15 successful composers being: Chloe Louise Potter, Amal Lad, Joseph Currie, Mika Sawai, Juan Carlos Vasquez, Daniel Andreas Baboulene, Marcos Fernandez, Nick Pike, Soosan Lalavar, Katie Chatburn, Charlotte Harding, Chris Williams, Isaac Ssebandeke, Chris Roe, Tomas Challenger. They come from across the country and have trained at some of the most prestigious musical institutions including the Royal College of Music, the Royal Academy of Music and Oxford and Cambridge Universities.

The Rhapsody project is being delivered in partnership with the Royal College of Music, whose musicians will be recording the pieces when they are completed later in the year, and with Imagineear, who have designed the audio guides and built the digital tour.
