The results are in: Attending a concert reduces glucocorticoids, progesterone and the cortisol/DHEA ratio

February 23, 2016 at 9:23 am UTC

The results of the study into the physiological impact of attending a concert, researched last year at the Eric Whitacre Singers concerts in London and Cheltenham, have been released.

The results proved that there were significant changes in cortisol, cortisone, progesterone, cortisol/DHEA ratio and cortisol/cortisone ratio. This is the first evidence that attending a cultural event can have an impact on endocrine activity and down-regulate stress.

The full results can be found within the Public Health Journal.
