The sounds of that choir are exquisite. I cannot wait to hear all of the songs that are on the album. Thank you Decca for making this possible. Most importantly, thank you Eric for the masterpieces that you have written and continue to write. Your music always inspires me to keep singing and teaching music, no matter how rough the road may be.

I am so glad God has allowed me to be present over your musical career…talk about right time and place! Your feelings resonate with mine when you say you could die in some of those dissonant chords: signature Whitacre moments. Please never stop striving for better…it always is :)

I could not agree more.
Each time I have the honor of singing one of his pieces, I feel as if I will die.
But, it would be the most beautiful death.

Eric Whitacre, you're a beast. I can't wait for this to come out! I hope to see you again/ work with you again really soon!
I read somewhere that you are working at a University in England either this semester or next, is that correct? If it is, I would love to know which one, because I am studying abroad, in England, this coming spring, but have yet to decide on a University. Email me if you can! :-)

Wow.. After the video ended, I got a wave of goosebumps. But before they ended, I got a second wave. And before they ended, I got a third. That was just an unreal physical response. That CD is going to be in my hands the minute I can grab it!

Your music is amazing! It's spiritual, sensitive and sexy at the same time. Eric Whitacre — you are brilliant! I can't wait to see you next virtual project.
Lots of love from Sweden!

I am really anticipating Seal Lullaby. Does anyone know why it is not in the tracklisting on Amazon? Am I missing something? Is it under a different name?
Eric on September 4, 2010 at 2:21 pm
Chad, it’s just a mistake at Amazon. It’s definitely on the new album. Cheers!

But, hey, why were the girls wearing laurels in the video?
