Bravo, Everyone!

Disney Virtual Honor Choir Participants,

We asked for a lot this time: excellent singing, good sound, super-clean video. Every video I heard was at an astonishingly high level, worthy of inclusion. You all delivered beyond my wildest dreams. I am so, so proud of all of you.

In the end, Disney was able to use just over 700 videos, a much larger number than we initially thought we could use. That’s terrific, because it means that nearly half of the submitted videos were chosen to be projected as part of the show. There just simply wasn’t enough room for every video submitted to be chosen. This part is very important, so I want to say it again, loudly: if you were not selected, it was not because you did something wrong, or weren’t ‘good enough’; IT WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT ROOM FOR EVERYONE IN THE FINAL VIDEO. That’s it. So please don’t beat yourself up, or doubt yourself, or wonder ‘what could I have done better?’. You were all terrific, and I feel honored and humbled to have been witness to the incredible dedication and skill each and every one of you brought to the project.

Can’t wait to work with you all again, either virtually or IRL. In the meantime, please go celebrate, regardless of whether or not your video was selected. You and just 1,500 others did what very few people dared to do: dreamed big, worked hard, and FOLLOWED THROUGH. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the whole damn game, right there.

Much love to you all,
Eric
