Hila Sings My Arrangement of “Voices Carry”
Voices Carry by Til’ Tuesday is easily one of my top 5 favorite 80’s songs. Good god did I have a crush on Aimee Mann.
I arranged it for Hila and string quartet, and she sang it as part of her breathtaking concert this past weekend. It’s a live recording, so it’s a little rough around the edges, but come on: wouldn’t you want to hear an entire album of this stuff? I could arrange Depeche Mode, The Cure, Talking Heads, English Beat. Bring. It. On.
