It’s going to sound corny, but I genuinely feel like the award belongs to choir geeks everywhere. It seems we are in the midst of a golden age in choral music: so much good music being made, so much excitement around singing and choirs. It’s thrilling to be alive and making music in a time where there is such passion and energy for the choral arts. We should all be celebrating tonight.
And once again, a huge congratulations to all the performers: Christopher Glynn; Hila Plitmann; The King’s Singers; Laudibus; The Pavão Quartet; and of course The Eric Whitacre Singers. Woo hoo!
