On September 19, the Eric Whitacre Singers performed at Anya Hindmarch’s London Fashion Week event, Chubby Cloud, held at Banqueting House in Whitehall. The ‘ethereal choral soarings’ of the group ‘serenaded [the guests] into blissful tranquillity’ (Vogue) as they relaxed on the world’s largest beanbag to gaze up at a series of Rubens panels that adorn the ceiling of Banqueting House. The event was inspired by the cloud motif in Hindmarch’s latest collection and also featured a live excerpt from the shipping forecast from Radio 4’s Zeb Soanes.
