The first three minutes of Deep Field in skeletal sketch form – I call it “emotional architecture.” I will make drawings like this for every moment of the piece before I compose any of the actual music.

We’re delighted that British singer-songwriter Nicki Wells will join Eric and the Eric Whitacre Singers on March 5 at Union Chapel.
