One of the pieces I recorded this week for the new album was “Goodnight Moon”, taking the text from the beloved children’s book by Margaret Wise Brown. I set it for string orchestra, harp, and Hila (soprano), and the music is still haunting me, playing over and over in my head. (And in my heart). Can’t wait to share it with all of you.

The new transcription is complete. We will record Equus with chorus and (very) full orchestra next Tuesday with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Eric Whitacre Singers, and Cordydd. Woo hoo!

Friends in Spain: I’ll be visiting twice this year! Bilbao (November) will be choral works with the amazing Bilbao Choral Society. Then to Madrid (April) with the extraordinary Fundación Excelentia, performing a program with chorus and orchestra to include my new ‘Songs of Immortality’. Can’t wait!
